Our Winter Schedule – LIVE STREAM

We hope you're enjoying our latest programming schedule -

- LIVE STREAMING right now on The Radio Theater Channel!

Superman & Jack Benny have stayed put.  All your favorites on Mystery Monday, Detective Tuesday, Western Wednesday, Drama Thursday & Comedy Friday remain in their usual time spots, and you're certainly enjoying that second chance to hear them all again on Saturdays & Sundays - Jack Benny and Lum & Abner also being heard weekends.

WEEKEND programs of 'Same Time, Same Station' and 'Radio Remembered' are staying at their usual times, with 'Reps Presents' on Saturdays, and 'ART' moving ahead one hour on Sundays. Right afterwards you hear 'Brunch with the Britts' at its new time.

'The Phil Harris and Alice Faye Show' is truly one of the more popular shows in OTR and we're glad to have them back.  'X MINUS ONE'  is the science fiction classic that has returned, and 'The Damon Runyon Theater' with a truly unique Guys & Dolls mind's-eye view of old New York - has your seal of approval.  One Man's Family, Fibber Mcgee, Dragnet, Gildersleeve with their new broadcast times,  seems to work well with most of you tuning in.

The many added hours of rotating Old Time Radio programming is keeping it interesting.  DO look at our current schedule, and let us know what you like:

I DISCOVERED THIS STATION VIA INTERNET ABOUT A YR. AGO. I JUST LOVE IT!! I ESPECIALLY LOVE MAMA BLOOMS BROOD! I LOVE THE ACCENT. IS THERE ANY WAY THAT I COULD GET THE TIMES OF EACH BROADCAST SO THAT I WON'T MISS MY FAVORITE PROGRAMS? KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. I APPRECIATE BEING ABLE TO LISTEN TO PROGRAMS THAT ARE A LITTLE MORE CLEAN AND MORAL THAN WHAT YOU MAY FIND ON THE T.V.

  2. Ken Silva says:

Vic and Sade (Rush episodes) is truly a wonderful gem of a series. Nothing else like it. Subtle and subversive. The best thing you have. Surprisingly, I also like Space Patrol, Speed Gibson, Superman, and Chandu the Magician, even though they are obviously aimed at kids. Bud Collier was a surprisingly great Superman and the show is performed at a very high level. Not sure if you even have some of these shows to air, though.

Phil Harris was great on Benny, but his show with Alice is simply terrible. Gildersleeve and Jack Benny are OK in small, infrequent doses.

Gunsmoke is the best western drama; Dragnet the best cop drama; Fibber McGee the best comedy; Broadway is My Beat and Box 13 the best of the Detective shows. Nightwatch is top notch, too, in its own category.

Just some of one man's opinions on OTR.

With all due respect Ken's opinion was "one man's." I don't think the Phil Harris show is all that great, but I've heard worse. On the other hand I'm totally devoted to Gildersleeve and try to hear him Monday-Thursday afternoons when I retire to my bedroom for a rest and a refresh with this program I remember from my childhood. My husband and I listen to Jack Benny every night as we fall asleep at midnight. I'm really excited about X-minus one. A lot of those were truly scary to me as a child. Also, I later found that many of the stories are Ray Bradbury adaptations. And Damon Runyan. I spent many hours as a teen reading those stories out loud to friends on the beach and I loved the tv program. I look forward to revisiting via radio.
Thanks for preserving the classics from "theater of the mind."

  4. Chad JC says:

I love this radio station, and the update of the line up is fantastic!!! I do miss "The Whistler", but I'm interested in hearing some of the "new" shows. I listen to this station more than music... Love it! Please keep up the great work!!!

  5. Pixie Stormcrow says:

I discovered your station a few months ago and fell in love instantly! Thank you so so much for sharing these radio shows. Some of them were aired before my parents were born, but I enjoy them as much and often times more than current television shows! I listen between 5pm and 6:30pm every weekday as my wind down after work and dinner. I am sad that my Richard Diamond has said "Bahhye", but my Fibber McGee n Molly are in his slot with Mama Bloom's Brood following so as Mama Becky might say - "Half a pair of loafers  is better than no shoes at all." Thanks again for all that you do! Have a Super Fantastical Day!!!
